Based on our own personal experience the best budget hotels on the island are not that easy to find, because most of the hotels are 4 or 5-stars.

However,

...We persevered, and did some “digging”, because of our vast local knowledge; we have managed to locate a selection of the top, best, cheap hotels in Cyprus, just for you….!! :-)

Before you take a look at our list, please take into account that budget hotels (1, 2, and 3-stars) on the island, do not offer 5-star services.

Everyone knows that, right…?! :-) So, why are we saying this…?

Because...

...Not everyone fully understands, or remembers that…!!

What we mean is, there are always going to be a few ambitious travellers who book to stay in a 2 or 3-star hotel, hoping to be treated as though they are staying in a 5-star hotel. How is this possible…?

Does it really happen…? :-)

We have friends working in the tourist industry who deal with tourists everyday who visit our island, and they have experienced this first-hand.

Let’s put it this way...

...Sometimes, they receive “out of this world” requests…lol. :-) Anyway, back to our lovely list...

Please do bear in mind…!!

When you check-out our top picks of “The best budget hotels on the island” they are all good hotels, which offer the best basic services, and amenities; in-line with the stars that they have been awarded (either 1, 2, or 3-star). So, please don’t expect 5-star service, unless you have booked a 5-star room, should you decide to stay in one of these hotels that caters for those on a tighter budget. :-)

In other words, if you have 5-star expectations while you are staying in a 2-star hotel, then you will constantly find yourself disappointed and disgruntled.

Now that we have cleared that up…

Please note; In our list, you will find 1, 2, and 3-star hotels. These are the best of the budget hotels based on their specific ratings, to the best of our extensive knowledge, and based on our personal preference and experience. :-)

Because, we have also been budget travellers ourselves before, and we know that it’s not easy to find a good budget hotel in which to stay.
