Dear foodies, since you love exploring food as much as we do, in Patsia Gourounaki, you will find that they serve delicious top-quality meals, have a wonderful atmosphere, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. Value for money…? Absolutely…!! It’s 5 out of 5 stars from us…!!

Pyxida (Cuisine: Seafood, Mediterranean, Greek, and Vegetarian)

Pyxida has been very popular for as long as we can remember, with many loyal customers continuously returning to enjoy their menu. Why…? Because they serve the most excellent seafood…!! We love it there…!!

If you love fish, you will love Pyxida…!! The fish is always cooked to perfection; it melts in your mouth…!! Friendly professional staff, very tidy and clean, and a homely welcoming atmosphere. It has to be 5 out of 5 stars from us…!! :-)

Zanettos (Cuisine: Mediterranean, Greek, Grill, and Vegetarian)

We haven’t been here for a while, but the last time we were, we had the best time ever…!!

…In Zanettos you will taste the best meat meze ever…!! We’re not exaggerating…!! Several meat dishes combine to please the palate. A wonderfully presented tavern with an awesome traditional atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Brilliant value for money…!!

It’s 5 out of 5 stars from us…!! Well done guys…!! :-)

To Anamma (Cuisine: Mediterranean, Barbecue, European, Greek, Grill, and Vegetarian)

This is a traditional tavern with traditional values, and a menu that doesn’t disappoint…!! If you are looking for something special, you’ll find it here…!! To Anamma is a tavern that serves delicious quality food, cooked with love and expertise. Their authentic souvlaki is something to behold…!!

Attentive polite staff, a welcoming atmosphere, such a well-presented tavern, and above all else, exceptional value for money…!! So, 5 out of 5 stars from us…!! :-)

Kathodon (Cuisine: Mediterranean, European, Greek, and Vegetarian)

Again, another tavern with delicious quality ingredients, fresh traditionally cooked food, on Ledra Street – near to the Green Line.

Visiting Kathodon tavern, you’ll find the tastiest Cypriot food cooked to perfection. The staff will welcome you with a smile, we find that they have a wonderful atmosphere, it’s a very clean well-presented tavern, and the menu has surprisingly reasonable prices for what they serve. It’s an outstanding experience to eat there…!! Try it out…!! Maybe we’ll be there on the same night…!! :-) So, we had to give them 5 out of 5 stars…!! :-)

Il Forno (Cuisine: Italian, Pizza, Mediterranean, European, and Vegetarian)

If you are strolling along Ledras street, and you feel hungry, consider having your lunch in Il Forno. Their deliciously cooked fresh food, will tempt you in from the street by the smells drifting along the path outside, with a great atmosphere, and affordable reasonable prices too. We have visited these guys quite a few times, so, of course they win 5 out of 5 stars, nothing but the best…!! :-)

Plaka Tavern (Cuisine: Mediterranean, Greek, and Vegetarian)

If you wish to taste fresh local cuisine at its finest, you are in for a treat…!! Plaka tavern will overwhelm your senses. Delicious traditional food, delicately cooked, a wonderful atmosphere, very affordable prices, humble and very clean. Great value for money…!! :-)

We discovered Plaka Tavern years ago, since then it has become one of our top favourite places to enjoy delicious fresh local food in Nicosia. We give this beautiful traditional tavern 5 out of 5 stars...!! :-)

Sawa Syrian Restaurant (Cuisine: Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Vegetarian)

If you have tried the local traditional menus many times, and you wish to taste something a little off the beaten track, why not try Syrian cuisine…? We present Sawa to you…!!

We love Sawa…!! We love the interior design, the subtle ambience, it’s very well presented. Noticeable for its cleanliness, the friendly and attentive staff do all they can to satisfy you, but above all, the delicious fresh menu delicately prepared by the chef will leave you wanting to return again and again…!!

Fellow foodies, if you like Syrian cuisine or you are stepping out of your comfort zone for the first taste, try Sawa, you will fall in love with them…!! As did we… :-)

We awarded this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars, exceptional job guys… :-)

Tocayo (Cuisine: Peruvian, and Vegetarian)

Another fantastic restaurant that you might fall in love with is Tocayo – that is, if you are into Peruvian cuisine :-). It’s a unique experience to eat there where the food melts in your mouth…!! It’s just too tasty…!! No word of a lie…!!

…And that’s why we love it there…!! Have you tried Peruvian food (it’s delicious…)?

The modern atmosphere is upbeat, the staff are always welcoming, they have very reasonable prices, and a great awareness of housekeeping. So, It’s 5 out of 5 stars from us…!! :-)

Bao Pau (Cuisine: Japanese, Sushi, Asian, and Vegetarian)

Our dear foodies, do you love Japanese food…? We most certainly do…!!

If you love Japanese food, why not try Bao Pau in the Agioi Omoloyites neighbourhood of Nicosia. Again, a very well-presented restaurant, with very attentive staff (great service…!!), along with the affordable prices, and tasty food you will most certainly leave comfortably satisfied.

Sushi at its best…!! So, 5 out of 5 stars from us…!! :-)

Hurry Curry (Cuisine: Indian, Barbecue, Asian, and Vegetarian)

Everyone loves a great Curry…!!

At “Hurry Curry” you’ll be served mouthwatering dishes that will please your palate to the fullest…!!

If you love Indian cuisine, or you just want to try it out for the very first time, consider a trip to Hurry Curry.

This place is wonderful, and all the staff serve you with that famous Asian hospitality. Very friendly people…!!

Great prices, a very well-presented restaurant with a wonderful buzzing atmosphere. So, apart from the mouthwatering deserts, you will also experience traditional India cuisine on our “tiny little island”!! :-) They deserved the 5 out of 5 stars we awarded them…!! :-)

Tria Syn Ena (3+1) (Cuisine: Mediterranean, Barbecue, Greek)

(Note: Tria means Three, Syn means Plus and Ena means One).

We chose to include Tria Syn Ena in the list of our top favourite taverns and restaurants in Nicosia, not because of the interior (it’s a little on the basic side) but because of the absolutely incredible food they serve…souvlaki…!! (Just wow…!!)

We suggest you try either the pork or chicken souvlaki, or a combination of both, you won’t regret it. Very reasonable prices for such delicious food, a small but very well-presented restaurant, and such great service. We chose to give them 5 out of 5 stars, since we love eating there so much. Once again, their food is fantastic…!! Give them a try…!! :-)

Valtou Rigani (Cuisine: Mediterranean, Barbecue, European, Greek, and Vegetarian)

Traditional Greek cuisine at it should be done…!!

One of the best places in Nicosia to enjoy souvlaki, and definitely one our big favourites…!!

If you wish to try a traditional Greek souvlaki, you have to visit Valtou Rigani…!!

The staff are very welcoming… They have reasonable prices… Such a lovely atmosphere… Very well presented… Fast and polite service… But above all, delicious fresh souvlaki…!! :-) Great value for money…!! They tick all the boxes possible…

What else could you ask for…? :-) 5 out of 5 stars!

Por Favor (Cuisine: Mexican and Vegetarian)

What a place to have your lunch…!!

We love Por Favor…!! It’s a Mexican restaurant-bar (located in the Egkomi suburb of Nicosia) where the food and the drinks are out of this world…!! :-)

It’s a fantastic experience to have your lunch or dinner there. The quality of the food is excellent, always served with a smile, polite and very professional staff, and the atmosphere is very lively…!! To say the least…!! Value for money…? Absolutely…!! :-) It won 5 out of 5 stars from us…!! Outstanding job guys…!! :-)

Elysian Kitchen & Bar (Cuisine: International, Café, Greek, Fusion, Healthy, and Vegetarian)

If you’re into healthy delicacies, visit Elysian. The service is memorable for the right reasons, always served with a smile. The staff are very polite and attentive. It’s a very well-presented kitchen, which serves delicious fresh food. Amazing atmosphere and reasonable prices too. Value for money, for sure…!! We awarded them 5 out of 5 stars! :-)
