If you decide to rent a car, check out the latest routes/road trips in or starting around Ayia Napa (Cyprus Routes/Road Trips: Routes 12, 13, 14 and 15. They are all circular routes starting from Ayia Napa). You will have a splendid time out! An island adventure!

Since there are no trains on the island of Cyprus transport options are generally rental cars, taxis, buses, or our own private vehicles…the question is…
…Which is the best way to explore Ayia Napa?
By renting either a car, scooter, quad, buggy, or anything with wheels. :-)
There are also buses and taxis available for you to get around on.
Having said that, please note that it depends on where you are staying on the island for your holiday as to what’s available in that area.
For example, if you are staying at a beach hotel and all you wish to do during your holiday is swimming, snorkelling in the sea, or sunbathing under the hot sun, then you won’t need a vehicle. You’ll be able to walk from your hotel to the beach in a matter of steps! :-)
On the other hand, if you wish to explore more of Ayia Napa than just its famous Mediterranean beaches, you will need to rent a vehicle. If you want someone else to do the heavy lifting and drive for you, then you can either use the buses, taxis, or book a tour...on land, sea, or even scuba diving.
